Description

Skandium is a British company owned by three London based Scandinavians. We operate two Skandium stores, and one Skandium concession in the department store Selfridges, all in London. We also undertake wholesale sales, contract sales and interior design. Skandium is the exclusive agent in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland for the brands Asplund, iittala, Le Klint, Marimekko, Muuto, Pia Wallén and Woodnotes.

Skandium is also the exclusive United Kingdom retail distributor for the lighting brand Louis Poulsen. In 2008, Skandium employed on average 30 full time members of staff.

About the owners: Magnus Englund (Managing Director) is Swedish with a background in fashion, wholesale and retailing.

Chrystina Schmidt (Creative Director) is Finnish and has previously worked as a fashion and life style photographer.

Christopher Seidenfaden (Finance Director) is Danish with a background in business journalism and finance. His family built up the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen, famous for the PH lamps.
