Description
OCHIDOrchid has offered a comprehensive range of furnishing and lighting from the far east and Europe, since 2002  From its London and Hampshire stores, and on-line, Orchid delivers throughout the UK and overseas. The collections are chosen for their luxurious and timeless designs. One-off Chinese antiques meld with Orchid’s exclusive collections and traditional oriental furniture.

Orchid provides quality products which are born out of a style and culture for which beauty in the home is paramount. The sumptuous gloss of Chinese lacquer, the tactile grain of teak and intricate hand-painting pave the journey into a world of discovery.

Orchid’s bespoke service will re-create, or source exactly the right piece in style, size and colour. Patronised by interior designers and retail customers throughout the UK and overseas, Orchid is established as a reliable source of striking pieces with original style.

Orchid’s collections include soft furnishings, teak and Chinese furniture as well as lighting and accessories.
These growing collections regularly change and evolve with new shipments and additional designs, presenting regular visitors with an ever changing palette of choices and inspiration.

Chinese or teak pieces can be made, or sourced to specific requirements. For made to measure pieces reclaimed wood will be used where possible, and the finishing techniques are the same as those used for Orchid’s stock items.
Both Chinese and Indonesian teak furniture is constructed and hand- finished using traditional methods. Exact requirements are always aimed for but hand mixed lacquers and hand-finishing techniques can result in slight variations.
Orchid’s staff are experienced in preparing drawings to scale and discussing ideas. Points such as style of door and drawer furniture, plinths or legs, and allowances for skirting must be considered.
