Conservatories

Our timber conservatories are constructed with sustainable hardwoods, have high performance glazing, and long-life finishes that ensure low maintenance.
Many components are exclusive to M&L, such as purpose-made hardware and a patented glazing system that both looks good and really keeps the weather at bay.
Orangery
An orangery usually combines masonry with timber and glass, and is typically classical in style.The earliest, built in the 17th century were for conserving orange trees and other tender plants through the
winter and for entertaining in the summer.
To succeed, orangeries need careful design, thoroughly scaled to the main house. M&L plan the project in an integrated way, ensuring it fits perfectly with its setting.
We design and obtain consents, and undertake the construction. Whether you prefer a style with columns, capitals and cornices, or with simple clean lines free of classical references, an orangery is an attractive and practical option.
Poolhouses
An indoor pool is the answer if you would like to make the most of a new pool swimming all year round. The light, harmonious style of a luxury conservatory is perfect for a poolhouse, with an interior that is both visually pleasing and great to swim in.

Green Houses
Practical greenhouses that make a fine feature and are perfect for raising seeds and plants, growing fruit and vegetables under glass, and conserving tender plants through the winter.
Choose from our free-standing or lean-to Traditional Range or order a bespoke greenhouse design.
Our timber greenhouses have all the details of 19th-century construction without the need for frequent re-painting and maintenance.Traditional features include curved, lapped glass panes, hand-turned finials, solidly-constructed doors with (optional)clapboard timber bases, and specially-made window fittings.
M&L combine these with safety glass, the option of automated electric ventilation and heating controls, pre-finishing with ultra long-life paint, and alloy gutters. We can also provide accessories such as greenhouse staging.
Whatever you choose, it will be constructed with Marston & Langinger’s uncompromising workmanship.
Glass Roofs
Glass roof will transform a room that has few or no windows into a light, naturally ventilated space. Particularly effective for kitchens, stairwells, restaurants and shops, they add height to a low room and can make a dramatic architectural feature. A light-filled glass building can be created from an existing flat-roofed building by simply replacing most of the ceiling with a lantern roof.
