Choosing a Natural Floorcovering
Each of our natural floorcoverings has its own unique charms - and each lends itself best to different rooms and uses. Wool, Seagrass, Coir and Sisal work brilliantly throughout the home.
All natural plant fibre floorcoverings should be used with caution in high-moisture areas like the kitchen and bathroom, and Jute is best confined to low-traffic areas where it will wear well. Bleached fibres can also revert back to their natural colour over time.
Bamboo
Due to the natural durability of Bamboo, floorcoverings within our Bamboo Collection are suitable for a surprisingly wide range of applications but please refer to each individual design for its specific suitabilities
Coir
Due to the natural resilience of Coir, all the natural floor coverings in our Coir Collection are suitable for light domestic, heavy domestic and stair use but due to its sumptuous natural texture Coir is not suitable for use with Castor chairs or in areas of high moisture. All are backed with Natural Latex.
Jute
Due to the luxurious nature of Jute, 'Perak', our Jute/Cotton mix is the only Jute floor covering suitable for both light domestic and heavy domestic use with our pure Jute ranges being suitable for light domestic use alone. Some Jute floor coverings are backed with Natural Latex.
Paper
Due to the surprisingly strong nature of our Paper weave, all our Paper floor coverings are suitable for both light domestic and heavy domestic use but not for use on stairs, with castor chairs or in areas of high moisture. All are backed with Natural Latex
Seagrass
Due to the natural strength of Seagrass, all our Seagrass floor coverings are suitable for both light domestic, heavy domestic and for use with castor chairs but not for use on stairs or in areas of high moisture. All are backed with Natural Latex.
Sisal
Due to the natural absorbency and strength of Sisal, all our Sisal floor coverings are suitable for both light domestic and heavy domestic use, all except 'Rafiki' can be used on stairs and many can also be used with castor chairs but all are unsuitable for use in areas of high moisture. All are backed with Natural Latex.
Sisool
Due to the natural versatility of Wool but absorbency of Sisal, all our Sisool floor coverings are suitable for both light domestic and heavy domestic use, use on stairs and with castor chairs but all are unsuitable for use in areas of high moisture. All are backed with Jute.
Wool
Due to the natural versatility of Wool, floor coverings within our Wool Collection are suitable for the widest range of applications but please refer to each individual design for its specific suitabilities. All our natural Wool floor coverings are backed with Jute or Action Backing making them the ideal natural floor covering choice for Latex allergy sufferers.
Customer Service
Delivery of your floorcoverings will take approximately 7-14 days from receipt of your order. International deliveries take approximately 10-21 days.
Delivery anywhere on the UK mainland is Free. For all other islands / countries the delivery cost is calculated at the checkout.
As soon as your floorcovering is ready to be dispatched we will contact you to arrange a preferred delivery date. You can tell us your preferred method of contact at the checkout. Deliveries take place Monday to Friday 9am-3pm. We use TNT for all UK deliveries. We can also arrange delivery on a Saturday for an additional cost. This option can be selected at the checkout.
Ordering Samples
We provide samples of all of our materials at £1.00 per sample. Ordering samples is easy, simply view the materials of your choice in detail and click on the 'order sample' link below each product to add them to your cart. Postage and packaging is free. We aim to get your samples to you within 3-4 working days.
