Description

A warm welcome to my web page! My name is Ahti and I am a professional photographer specialising in Events, Conferences, Portraits, Weddings, PR and Product Photography.

My corporate clients include a number of UK companies, including Ricoh, HSBC Bank, ACCBA, The Hurlingham Leather Trading Company, Jan Trust and I am the official photographer for the Ibero-American Business networking company Cook Your Business. I got my first camera at the age seven, it was a birthday present from my dad. It was one of those old black and white film "Zenit" cameras.
I immediately started taking photos of our dog, my older brother, our cat and my grandmothers hands. Every Saturday night my dad and I converted our extremely small kitchen into a dark room. I still remember the butterflies in my stomach, when I first saw the image appearing in developing tray.

My parents were of a generation that couldn't accept an artistic profession for me and guided me to ones like doctor, lawyer, etc. I found a career that suited me and
studied Geography, for a Diploma in Hotel Management and Business Administration. Over time I continued to have my higher creative calling, taking a couple of courses in London, studying photography at the London College of Communications and learning a lot from the work of other great photographers. My first tutor was Luciana Franzolin at the London School of Photography and I remember her words at the beginning of the photography course: "For those, who have decided to become a photographer, congratulations, this is the most beautiful profession in the World". I cannot agree more.

I have two eyes, one is for black and white and the other is for colour, but I love both styles equally.

My photography style is often candid and reportage style, very relaxed and I rather capture connections between people than connection with the camera. I love natural expressions, laughter. My photography is creative and designed around you.

I live in one of the major cities of Europe, London, where my passion for people and the cosmopolitan life finds free expression in my photographic work.

I also have a burning passion for food, travel and photography combined.
